Warm up

Learners stand in circle and say a body word. Next learner points to the body part then says another body part. How many body parts can learners remember? Learners should know:

body, arm, leg, hand, foot, back, neck, shoulder, head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, back

What kind of words have you remembered?

How do you think what is theme of our lesson?

[GW] Learners make 3 groups with given vocabulary (each student takes a card with the word and finds what part of the body is it: top, middle, end of the body and join a group) and teacher distributes handoutsworksheet 1. (Teacher based assessment)

They change round and spell the other five words. How many words can they spell correctly a second time?

Differentiation by difficulty of task: Less able learners do only 5 questions, while more able learners do 10 questions

“Simon Says”

Learners stand and must listen closely to what teacher commands them to do. If the teacher gives a command by first stating “Simon says …” the listener must not obey teacher’s commands. If he gives a command without saying “Simon says …” the learners must obey his commands. Each student who does mistakes sits. The last person who stands will be the winner and be awarded by teacher.Ex: touch your knee. Simon says, touch your knee
