How Al-Farabi KazNU Supported Me: A Journey of Growth and Innovation

Since the 10th grade, I had dreamed of studying at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU). There were several reasons behind this choice.

Firstly, the university’s location fascinated me. From the moment I first saw KazNU's majestic campus nestled at the foot of the mountains, I knew this was where I belonged. The student city with its clean ecological environment and breathtaking views captured my heart back in 10th grade, and today, as I walk through its halls, I realize how profoundly this university has transformed me.Additionally, I had always admired KazNU’s library, and the thought of accessing its vast collection of academic resources was a dream come true.

Secondly, the university’s education system met my expectations, offering high-quality academic programs and a strong reputation in various fields. KazNU’s Applied Mathematics undergraduate program is designed to equip students with mathematical methods for solving real-world problems in various fields. The program includes key subjects such as:

•Algorithms and Data Structures – Learning how to develop efficient algorithms and manage data effectively.

•Discrete Mathematics – Applying mathematical methods to solve computational and applied problems.

•Linear Algebra and Analytical Geometry – Studying mathematical structures to understand spatial relationships.

•Fundamentals of Programming – Gaining proficiency in high-level programming languages and algorithm development.

•Functional Analysis – Using advanced mathematical concepts for modeling real-world processes.

These subjects allow students to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills, making them well-prepared for careers in various industries such as finance, engineering, and information technology.

Another key reason I chose KazNU is its ambitious international initiatives. While a French branch campus hasn't been established yet, I was impressed by the university's active partnerships with European institutions, particularly in France.
