KazNU and Applied Mathematics: The Way to Knowledge, Innovation, and Career Success

My name is Zhaniya, and I developed my love for mathematics, physics, and computer science during high school. I realized that I wanted my profession to be connected to these subjects. However, I faced challenges in deciding which speciality to seek and which university would provide a good education, essential skills, and numerous opportunities for my future. Finally, I chose Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) and decided to specialize in applied mathematics, which perfectly combines my favourite subjects.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is more than just an educational institution; it is a comprehensive ecosystem that fosters development opportunities. I selected KazNU because it blends academic tradition with innovation, offering students access to modern laboratories, internships, and international programs. Here, students not only acquire knowledge but also learn to apply it in practical settings, which is particularly vital for my specialization—applied mathematics—where theory and the real world are interconnected. The university equips students with fundamental knowledge while also providing real opportunities for professional growth, such as access to scientific research, participation in international conferences, academic mobility programs, and partnerships with leading universities worldwide.

My future profession is in applied mathematics, a fascinating and significant field closely linked to information technology (IT). Applied mathematics is utilized across various industries, ensuring many career opportunities. With my education, I could work as a programmer, business analyst, systems analyst, or software specialist. Many companies require professionals who can analyze data, create models, and solve complex problems.
