Title: What is the UK? The main aim: To introduce pupils with United Kingdom, teaching new vocabulary. Aims:

1. Upbringing: To up bring the interest of the pupils to the

world of What is the UK? 2. Teaching: To teach using Degrees of adjectives, retelling

and analysing 3. Practical: To practice writing, speaking, listening,

vocabulary skills on the topic What is the UK? 4. Developing: To develop pupils’ outlook, their

communicative and cooperative skills, to encourage children to express their own point of view and ideas.

Resources: Blackboard, Poster, Cards, Handouts CD player

Methods: Small dialogues, small lectures, Group working, memorising a Degrees of adjectives, singing a song, answering the questions

Forms: question – answer conversation, individual work, and group work.

Aids: Conversation, presentation

Control types: correct using of Degrees of adjectives, pronunciation, oral speech Assessment: Giving marks according to the State standard and verbal rewarding. Procedure: 1. Checking home works. Good morning my dear pupils. I am glad to see you again. If you are ready I will check your home works and then will introduce you a new theme. Teacher will check home works by quiz cards. This procedure will last until. 5minutes

2. Introducing new theme If you are ready let’s begin our lesson. The theme of a new lesson is called “What is the UK?” Today we will speak, read, and write about United Kingdom, and also learn Degrees of adjectives.

 What is United Kingdom?  What countries are included to UK?  In what city is Big Ben situated?

4. Working in pairs. Answer the questions (5 minutes). How many countries are in the UK? What are they? What are the main rivers and lakes? What other places do you know?

5. Puzzle Time. Fill in the PUZZLE (5 minutes).
