Warm up: My bookcase (5 min)

Different pictures of books are placed on the desk. The task for students is to stick these books on a worksheet dividing them into categories: films, cartoons. Thus, they are divided into 2 groups. After it the students should guess the topic.

- What do you like most of all: films or cartoons?

- Especially, cartoons!

- That's OK! If you like cartoons more, I'll introduce you with a well-known cartoon. And we’ll work with it today. My pupils, come to me.Today we have 2 groups, the first one is ‘Cartoons’, what is the Kazakh for ‘Cartoons’ – “мультфилм” and the 2nd group is “Films” and the translation is «кино».Each pupil has to take a picture and say it a cartoon or film and go to your groups.That's OK.Let;s vote the leader of the group.Here at 'cartoon' group will be Erzhan and in group ‘Films’ will be Dias. And today you will be assessed by the criteria of assessment.

Children are fond of fairy tales very much. And Frank Baum was one of the authors, who wrote many fairy –tales for the children and he also wrote the fairy –tale “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

If most of you don't know more about this cartoon, let's introduce with it nearer.

First of all, let’s work with new words:

Group work:”Insert”method

-The story is divided into 2parts and are given to 2 small groups. They read the story in groups, discuss it and insert the main parts:

The first group: 1.Dorothy and Toto saw a Scarecrow with no brain.2,Dorothy saw a Tin Man with an Axe.3. Dorothy got the oil can and oiled the Tin nMan.4.Then they met a Lion who tired to bite Toto.

The second group: 1.They all decided to find the Wizard together.

2.They heard a loud roar.3.A lion ran out of the forest and stood in the road in front of them.4.Dorothy and her friends saw a green light shining in the distance.
