Pupils watch the video about the shapes in order to remember and revise the shapes. While watching pupils may sing along.

Presentation and practice (10)

Poster

Listen and color.

Pupils` books closed. Put up the poster on the board. Point to the circle and say: Circle. The pupils repeat after you. Follow the same procedure to present the remaining shapes. Then, point to the shapes at random and elicit the corresponding word from the pupils.

Extension activity (Optional)

Draw the shapes in the air and say the corresponding word for each one. Repeat one more time. Then, say a shape and ask individual pupils to draw in the air.

Pupils` books open. Explain the activity. Ask the pupils to take out their red, blue, pink and yellow coloured pencils. Play the CD , twice if necessary. Pause after each item so as to allow the pupils enough time to colour in the shapes. Check the pupils` answer.

Answer key:

A red circle, a blue triangle, a pink rectangle, a yellow square.
