My First Year at Kaznu

Kazakh National University has a 90-year history, provides high-quality education and focuses on scientific research. It was the first university in the country to receive the “Achievement in Quality” award from the President of Kazakhstan and is also a diploma winner of the award given by the Commonwealth of Independent States. KazNU is the foundation of the national higher education system and a place where highly qualified specialists are trained. Students have all the necessary conditions for personal and academic development.

When I was in the 11th grade, I started researching and inquiring about various universities. I wanted to know which university offered the best education, had the most qualified professors, and what kind of specialist I would become after graduation. The university’s location was also important to me—I wanted it to be conveniently situated and easily accessible. After considering all these factors, I chose KazNU.

Since enrolling at KazNU, my life has changed significantly. For the first time, I stepped into adulthood, away from my family. My parents placed their trust and hopes in me, and my primary goal was to meet their expectations. When I got accepted into the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics,I learned to be disciplined, make independent decisions, and focus on self-improvement. Of course, university life is very different from school—it requires more effort and dedication. Lectures and seminars are all focused on gaining new knowledge. At first, adjusting was a bit challenging, but over time, I got used to it, and before I knew it, the first semester was over.
