Leader 1: Good afternoon, dear guests and pupils! Welcome to our English party!

Leader 2: Today we have a demonstrative lesson and the theme of our lesson is “Seasons”. The main aim is to review all the lexical and grammar material we have learned, I hope that you will show us what you know about the seasons.

Leader 1: Now let’s begin the main part of our lesson. Today the seasons have come to our lesson to see what you know about them. And now listen to the poems.

Pupil 1: Spring is green,

Summer is bright

Autumn is yellow

Winter is white.

Leader 2: And now, children, let’s speak about the word “a year”.

Leader 1: How many seasons are there in a year?

Pupils: There are four seasons.

Leader 2: Yes, four seasons. What are they?

Pupils: They are: winter, spring, summer and autumn.

Leader 1: Name the winter months!

Pupils: December, January, February.

Leader 2: Name the spring months, children!

Pupils: March, April, May.

Leader 1: Name the summer months!

Pupils: June, July, August.

Leader 2: Name the autumn months, please!

Pupils: September, October, November.

Leader 1: Listen to the rhyme. Will you say which season is it?

Pupil 2: This is the season

When snowdrops bloom.

When nobody likes

To stay in the room.

Pupils: It is winter.

Leader 2: Yes, it is. And now let us talk about winter. You are welcome winter months (December, January, February).

Winter: I am the coldest season of the year. my months are December, January and February. When I come, all the rivers and lakes are frozen, snowflakes dance in the air. The ground, the trees and the houses are covered with deep snow.

December: This is the season

When children ski.

And old Father Frost

Brings New Year tree.

January: The windows are blue at night

But in the morning they are white.

And snowflakes are falling

“Come out”, they are calling.

February: Get out of bed and take your sled

This cold and frosty day.

The sun is bright, the snow is right.

Song: “Jingle, Bells!”

Leader 1: Very nice! You know so many poems. Thank you. Now, dear boys and girls, listen to the riddles and try to guess them. Listen carefully.

Fat and gay, on a winter day,
