A legend of Aisha –Bibi

Aisha Bibi lived in the 11th century in the city of Otyrar. One day she joined a crowd of people who were watching Karakhan, the governer of Taraz, ride into the city on horseback. She was 16 and she was very beautiful. As Karakhan rode past, he looked down into the crowd and saw Aisha –Bibi. She was looking at him. It was love at first sight.

Arter that, Karakhan and Aisha-Bibi started to see each other as often as possible. They used to meet secretly. But one day, Karakhan had to go back to Taraz. Before he went, he asked Aisha-Bibi’s father if he could marry his daughter. But Aisha-Bibi’s father refused. He wanted his daughter to marry a man who was related to the Sufi prophet, like Aisha –Bibi. Karakhan and Aisha-Bibi were very disappointed, but they promised each…
