Teacher: Good morning, children! Let’s start our lesson.

Warm-up

Teacher reads a proverb “Prevention is better than cure” which is connected to the theme of the lesson.

T: Children how do you understand the meaning of the proverb?

How do you think? What is the theme of our lesson?

-What are we going to speak about?

Yeah, you are right. Today we are going to speak about health and health problems.

Dividing into groups.

At first I’ll divide you into two groups. 1st group is “health problem”, 2nd group is “solution”.

You have to take sheets of paper from the box one by one. If you take health problems, you will be in the 1st group. If you take solutions, you will be in the 2nd group.

Health problems. Method “matching”

Look at your flashcards and match health problems with their pictures. If there are unknown words, write down them in your dictionaries.

Task 1. Method “Filling gaps”

Teacher turns on white board conversation between two people. Learners need to listen to it twice and note missing words in their copy books. Then complete the conversation

Listen to a conversation and fill in missing information in the notes below.

Here is some advice:

Live the Dream Sleep more!

1st part.

You’re having on the best dream you’ve ever had. Suddenly, the alarm goes off. No! You reach out your arm and turn it off. You just want to snooze for five more minutes. Does this sound familiar? Well you’re not alone. Teenagers everywhere are trying to get just a little more sleep. So why is this? Well, to start with, on average teenagers need to sleep an hour longer than adults. Also teenagers usually feel sleepy later at night than adults, and take longer to wake up in the morning-and that’s the reason why you always want to sleep in! But can tiredness really hurt you?
