The use of ICT in English lessons

Today no one needs to be convinced that learning a foreign language is impossible without the use of modern learning technologies such as training in cooperation, the project methods and information technology.

The relevance of this problem lies in the fact that information and communication technologies are characterized by a high communicative ability and active inclusion of students in educational activities, activate the potential of knowledge and skills of speaking and listening skills, effectively develop the skills of communicative competence of students. This contributes to the adaptation to modern social conditions, because society needs people who quickly Orient themselves in the modern world, independent and initiative, achieving success in their activities.

At the heart of any innovation is a creative beginning. Creative activity involves the development of emotional and intellectual spheres of the individual. This is one of the main tasks of the modern educational process. Educational activities at school require the use of specific technologies that provide a solution to this problem. These are innovative forms of education: ICT, project method, techniques of critical thinking technology.

The use of information computer technology provides fundamentally new opportunities to improve the efficiency of the educational process. This expansion of access to information in the usual verbal and other forms, increasing the expressive possibilities of providing information, the connection of its rational and emotional aspects, the inclusion of game elements, the possibility of using models, a wide variation in the choice of methodological tools, replication and improvement of teaching materials and simplification of their transmission over a distance, new opportunities in the concentration of information, individualization of the educational process and its variability, new opportunities in the organization of inter-subject relations, release of the teacher from routine work and focusing his attention on creative moments, increasing interest in obtaining knowledge.

The development and implementation of new information technologies in the educational process are actively engaged in such researchers as Polat E. S., Dmitrieva E. I., Novikov S. V., Tsvetkova L. A.

The main objectives of ICT application in English lessons are:

* increasing motivation to learn a language;

* development of speech competence: the ability to understand authentic foreign language texts, as well as the ability to transmit information in coherent reasoned statements;

* increase of linguistic knowledge;

* expansion of knowledge about the socio-cultural specifics of the country of the studied language;

* development of ability and readiness for independent learning of English.

Only the textbook and the teacher for formation of independence of thinking, ability to reflection (reflection, self-observation, self-assessment) is not enough. There is a need for a wide range of information reflecting different perspectives on the same problem, providing students with food for thought, critical analysis, generalizations, independent conclusions and solutions.

A modern teacher should take into account the fact that information and communication technologies (ICT) of education are firmly established in life. The use of new information technologies expands the scope of the educational process, increases its practical orientation, increases the motivation of students in the educational process, the development of intellectual and creative abilities of students, their ability to independently acquire new knowledge and create conditions for their successful self-realization in the future.

ICT training in English lessons is an effective pedagogical tool for learning a foreign language culture and the formation of communication skills. It should be noted that the use of ICT helps to accelerate the learning process, increase students ' interest in the subject, improve the quality of learning, allow individualize the learning process and make it possible to avoid the subjectivity of evaluation. Foreign language lessons using ICT are characterized by diversity, increased interest of students in a foreign language, efficiency.

In modern sources, information and communication technologies represent a wide range of digital technologies used to create, transmit and disseminate information and provide services (computer equipment, software, telephone lines, cellular communications, e-mail, cellular and satellite technologies, wireless and cable networks, multimedia, and the Internet).

The most commonly used ICT tools in the educational process include:

Methodists identify several classifications of ICT tools. In accordance with the first classification, all ICT tools used in the education system can be divided into two types: hardware (computer, printer, scanner, camera, video camera, audio and video recorder, etc.) and software (electronic textbooks, simulators, test environments, information sites, Internet search engines, etc.).

A breakthrough in the field of ICT, which is currently taking place, makes it necessary to reconsider the organization of information support of cognitive activity. Thus, the second classification of ICT allows us to consider the possibility of using information technology in educational activities:

• to search for literature on the Internet using browsers such as InternetExplorer, MozillaFirefox, etc., various search engines (Yandex.ru, Rambler.ru, Mail.ru, Google.ru, Yahoo.com etc.) and work with it (abstracting, abstracting, annotating, quoting, etc.));
