1 presenter: Good afternoon, dear guests!

2 presenter: We are so pleased to meet you here today and show our knowledge about England.

1 presenter: So our today’s topic is “Travelling to England”. I have to mention that ENGLAND is famous for many things - David Beckham, Fish and Chips, Big Ben, Red Buses, black cabs, the Beatles, London and tea.

2 presenter: And we will be asking our pupils very interesting questions about this amazing country throughout the presentation! Guys, are you ready?

Pupils: Always ready!!!

2 presenter : Then let’s start! And the 1st question is…

1 presenter: Is England and Great Britain the same country?

(Дети все хором отвечают: Of course no!)

2 presenter: Very well!!! You all were right! Great Britain is in itself a country that is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

1 presenter: Let’s have a look where Great Britain is situated and on the next slide you can see the flags of these four countries. Let’s move on!

2 presenter: The 2nd question is “Has England got a President?”

(Дети делаю небольшую паузу и затем кто-то один отвечает: I think England has a Queen и второй учений говорит: Yes, I agree with him/her)

2 presenter: Ok, who will tell me the name of this Queen and where does she work?

Ученик: Elizabeth II is the queen of the United Kingdom and Buckingham Palace is her workplace in the nation's capital, London.

1 presenter: Good job!!! Interesting fact! Elizabeth II is travelling around the world without her passport! That’s a dream! So the 3rd question: What is the official currency of England?

Ученики начинают перебирать варианты :

- Maybe euro. – Maybe dollar.

И один из учеников резко вспоминает: Oh , I know, I know. It’s pound!

2 presenter: Yes. The official currency not only of England, but of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland is the pound sterling (£). So 1 pound is about 484 tenge.

1 presenter: Now everybody should name the most famous places of London and tell everybody which of them you want to visit.

1 ученик: Big Ben is among London's most iconic landmarks and must-see London attractions. The clock tower has also served to symbolize the continued functioning of the British government.
