How do you understand this saying? Will you give an equivalent in your native language? (Pupils answer) T: You are right. So, we should continue our talk on the topic “Galleries and museums” Brain -storm. 1. Do you like going to galleries and museums? Why? Why not? 2. When did you last go there? 3. What did you see? Now you’ll watch a short video. Why have we watched this video film? We are going to learn something interesting about the National Gallery. /We’ll know about the collections. I think we’ll know more about the British culture and we’ll be more cultural people. III. Presentation of the new theme. - There are a lot of interesting museums and galleries in London. One of the most famous is The Victoria and Albert Museum. This museum is really worth visiting. If you are fond of painting you'll go to the Tate Gallery. The National Gallery is one of the most important picture galleries in the world. The Tate Gallery is the most necessary compliment to the National Gallery as it contains contemporary works particularly by English and French masters. What do you think people can see in this place?
