Warm up. Poem “My motherland is Kazakhstan”

Teacher identifies the theme of the lesson asking questions:

Who is the president of Kazakhstan?

What is the population of Kazakhstan?

Where is Kazakhstan situated?

What is the size of Kazakhstan?

What countries does it border on?

When did Kazakhstan become an independent state?

Teacher divides the learners into four groups A,B,C,D.

Low level

Middle level

High and middle level

High level

Teacher asks them to choose the leader of each group.

Teacher gives the key words with definitions about the new lesson.

Huge- a great size

Population- the whole number of people

Renamed- call by a new name

Situated- having a place

Aquarium-a glass-sided tank in which fish or other aquatic animals or plants are kept

Mosque-a building that is used for Muslim religious

Custom- is a tradition

Amazing- very wonderful

Developed- go ahead

Sightseeing- interesting places

Learners read the words and understand definitions of words.

If they have any difficulties show the pictures with the words
