Warm-up Give students 30 seconds to silently glance around the room and count how many RED things they see. Advise them to count the number of items they see on their fingers so that they don’t forget. At the end of the 30 seconds, have students hold up the number they found. Ask students to share what they found. The Point: There were probably a lot more red things in the room than many initially thought. This activity will help them to focus on new topic and to investigate pictures of buildings just like we investigated the room in order to best be able to describe what he/she saw to someone else. Leaners are asked where they went on their holidays. After they recall names of places they visited (towns, villages) Teacher asks them about the shape of a building they saw there. -Where did you go on holidays? -What did you see? -Name the shapes of the buildings you’ve seen.(T’s support on the word ‘building’). Leaners are suggested to listen to the song and guess the topic of the lesson. The topic and Los are presented. -Name the shapes of the buildings you know in Astana, Almaty.

Presentation Leaners are suggested to look through the slides and distinguish shapes of buildings. Make notes into their copybooks. Key words to revise: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval. Ask Leaners about shapes of local buildings. Teacher shows some pictures with different buildings and asks what they see. Model and drill the language: I can see a (circle) building. Me too.
