Warm up

Books closed. Ask: How do people become good at things like football and ballet?

• Elicit students’ answers and write them on the board, e.g. bypractising every day, by working hard, by training in a school, by making sacrifi ces.

Practice

1 • Ask students to open their books at page 25.

• Students look at the photos and answer the question.

• If you have the Presentation Plus software, put the photos on the board and discuss the question with the whole class.

• Alternatively, put students in pairs to answer the question.

• Check answers.

The Royal Ballet School was established in 1926 and is known

for having produced many renowned talents such as Dame

Margot Fonteyn and Darcey Bussell.
