Learners have met 8.2.2.1 if they can answer 4 multiple choice questions based on the article and complete the table about the animal

Learners have met 8.4.8.1 if they can use dictionaries to check the meaning of unknown words.

Learners have met 8.3.5.1 if they can work collaboratively in groups to complete the task.

Teacher shows learners the pictures of endangered species. Learners should name the animals. If they know more animals which are endangered, they can add them in this list.

(I, G) Reading

Divide learners in groups and give each group a different text about an endangered animal. They should read the text, check the meaning of unknown words and answer 4 comprehension checking questions. They should discuss these questions together. In a group they should complete a table where they briefly need to summarize the following aspects about the animal:

the description of the animal and its characteristics

the description of their habitat

the reasons why this animal is endangered today

Learners should work collaboratively.
