3.1. Pre-listening. Teacher shows the students the picture of an animal. For example, a horse. Teacher: “Look at the picture. What is it?”

Students: “A horse!” Teacher: “That’s right! What can a horse do? Look! A horse can jump! Repeat after me. A horse can jump!” (MODELLING) Students: “A horse can jump!” Teacher: “A horse can jump!” Students: “A horse can jump!” (CHORAL DRILLING) Teacher: “Can a horse fly?” Students: “No, it can’t”. (3 times). 3.2 (CONCEPT CHECKING) Teacher shows another picture (a bear) and asks: Can a bear jump? It’s suggested that the students answer: “Yes, it can.” T: Can a bear fly? S: No, it can’t

3.3 While listening The Teacher demonstrates a video with the verb can. Students watch the video. While watching they should remember action verbs and what a particular animal can do.

3.4. Post-listening task: Differentiation by pace Teacher gives students handouts and they do matching exercise. For those who has completed more quickly the teacher says to complete extra task.
