Solve the rebus and guess the topic of the lesson;

Understand most specific information and detail while watching video;

Give an opinion at sentence level on classmates’ presentation;

Understand what fiction and non-fiction literature is.

Become a speaker of the group to act as a teacher and explain the topic.

Then, teacher hands out stickers and asks learners to write a compliment to a peer. Learners write wishes and nice words to each other, so learners collaborate and create a friendly atmosphere.

Warm-up:

Ask students to look at the book cover and characters in the pictures and quess what the story is about.

Exercise 1. SB p. 122

Tell students to work individually and write adjectives they can use to describe the six characters in the pictures, e.g.A – young, pretty, well-dressed. Students write the notes on the note pad. Tell students not to write the name of the characters.Exercise 2. Explain the task. Make sure students know zoologist. In a weaker class, do the first description with the whole class.Answers: 1.D 2. A 3. E 4. F 5.C 6. BExercise 3. Explain the task. Ask a student to read the first quote and the rest of the class to guess who it is. Who say what? Look at the descriptions and the pictures again. Which characters say these things, do you think?

Ex 5. Ask and answer the questions with your partner.

Tell them to discuss the questions and note which answers you had the same or different opinions about.

Ex 6. Do a role-play. You and your partner are going to have a discussion about travel and adventure. Student A think travel is a very positive thing for young people to do, but student B think it is too dangerous. Before you begin the discussion, make some notes in the table.

Brainstorm ideas with the class about the positive and negative aspects of travel and adventure. Do round-up of ideas with the whole class.
